Day Trips from Prague, Czech Republic

If there is ever a time where you feel that you need a break from the city of Prague (which is unlikely) there are plenty of day trips offered by various tourism companies throughout the city.


Cesky Krumlov
A small Bohemian city in the south of the Czech Republic; Cesky Krumlov is known for its beautiful castles, old style architecture, and wonderful festivals. Usually on the top of the list for those looking to take a trip outside of Prague, the tours to Cesky Krumlov fill up quickly especially during peak seasons.


Karlovy Vary
A small town famously known for its spa culture, Karlovy Vary is located an hour and a half away from Prague. Karlovy Vary has 13 main, beautiful hot springs. If you are looking for a day of relaxation and a way to escape the summer tourist rush of Prague, this city is the perfect spot.


Tabor
Best known for its history and downtown/central area, Tabor is located 50 minutes from Prague by train. In this small town you can spend a relaxing afternoon strolling the cobblestone streets and people watching while grabbing some coffee and delicious Czech pastries.



Kutna Hora
Easy to get to by train, Kutna Hora is situated only an hour away from Prague. Widely recognized for being a silver mining town; Kutna Hora is one of the oldest settled town in the Czech Republic making it ideal for history buffs.
